PokerStars - €0.02 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BB: 227 BB
UTG: 115 BB
MP: 100 BB
CO: 101.5 BB
BTN: 91 BB
Hero (SB): 100 BB

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has T♣ T♦

fold, fold, CO raises to 3 BB, BTN calls 3 BB, Hero raises to 5 BB, BB raises to 15 BB, CO calls 12 BB, fold, fold

Flop: (38 BB, 2 players) K♣ A♠ 4♥
BB bets 15 BB, CO calls 15 BB

Turn: (68 BB, 2 players) 7♦
BB bets 197 BB and is all-in, fold

BB wins 64 BB

Something was telling me inside to do a 4bet, but I kept myself away. Do these type of folds normally good? I thought going inside a 3way flop like this, sounds dangerous.

My god you really have to learn about preflop sizings, odds and dynamic, it's not your first awful blunder and probably not your last.

Squeeze way bigger like at least 13 BB here, and when BB reraises and CO calls you probably have to call TT to set mine.

PF sqz to 13bb and if BB 4bet i would just fold because You are behind BB range - You dont have odds to call and You dont have Fold Equity if You shove

3bet sizing is indeed way to small, but it depends a little bit how aggressive the orginal raiser is if i would 3bet or not. After the 4bet of the BB I would fold for sure with only set outs on the flop.

Cheers,

You only have 10 BB to add in a pot of already 38 against 2 bad players with an hand that has decent implieds, come on, how can you fold ?

You have to read a bit more about bet sizings.
The rule is betting 3x the villain's bet; add another per each call; also add if you play OOP post flop.

That said, you have to call pre and play for set mining. If you miss it is an easy fold.

Dont feel discouraged, keep studying, posting hands and having fun while playing. πŸ‘

Yeah, 3bet should be much higher, and folding pre is better, off course. Shipping is not always a big mistake but its more a high variance game, and on low limits its not necesseary.

I would defo work on your 3 bet sizing make it something like 3x in position and 4x out of position always remember to add 1 bb for each player in the pot, once big blind 4 bets you should really only come along if the Co is also in the pot to set mine with pocket TT as now you are getting implied odds to make the call but as soon as you missed on the flop just muck them don't get sticky and carry on with them..

so the correct sizing would be:
CO raises to 3 BB, BTN calls 3 BB, Hero raises to 13 BB

(4 x 3BB) + 1BB BTN = 13 BB

?

The +1 bb rule is used for limpers.
I would add another betsize for each caller.
I use the same for oop & ip tho.
12bb would be my minimum here. But well, you don't really want callers with that hand so I would make it 15bb.
Id go for 12bb if I held kk or aa.

If your goal is to get folds. Bigger is usually better. And noone on nl2 will exploit that.

This. When squeezing you real want to think about 2 main aspects:
- do it with hands that block strong holdings from your opponents ranges (which means, increase your fold equity).
- do it with hands that play well postflop, even OOP. The bigger the number of callers/limpers, the more you should bet, but also the more you should tighten up.

Using 1 more blind or 2 OOP is usually the standard though.

Guys, as marcvz pointed out, its a reraise and not a limping situation. Here que have to use betsize.

- For Reraise: 3x bet size, plus 1betsize if OOP, add 1 per player Faller.
- For limpers same strategy but with bug blinds
