Background: ![]()
Hi my name is Phil, I live in the north of England. I am 19 and am studying Maths at university. I have been playing poker seriously for around a year but less seriously for a few years before that. My other hobbies include the standard students of sleeping and partying but I also enjoy playing music (mostly guitars) and rock climbing. ♦
Long Term Aims: ![]()
My aim is to make money. It sounds blunt and it is.
The life of a student is a rather poor one and I want to try and ease the pain in some way. I enjoy playing poker thoroughly particularly long tournaments. However I don't feel long tournaments is an effective method of making money and more for enjoyment. I had a trial period of playing SSS and although I made some money I didn't feel it was very efficient. Now I will switch to the DON's. Give them a trial and a half! ![]()
Strategy: ![]()
Will play similar to how I play in a MTT. Very tight to begin with and then as I begin to get imperilled I will go into a push/fold style mode. It seems to give me a pretty good ITM at the MTT's but not a very good high place finish so
I guess it will work well in the DON's as well. ![]()
Bankroll: ![]()
Will start with a bankroll of £290 on Poker Heaven (don't ask why its £290). Will play £5 + £0.5 DON's and record my ROI for a while. Its almost like a scientific experiment to see if its a sensible way of making money!
Number of DON's played: 17
ITM finishes: 7
ROI%: Coming soon...
Graph:
I will attempt to get a graph if I can. I believe sharkscope does one for tournaments but it doesn't seem to have any results for me. Maybe it takes a while to update.
