I used to play poker when I was a student, but that is about 15 years ago.
Now I want to pick it up again and hope to find some good advice here.
Here in Germany, it does not seem to be that popular. (Texas NL)

Hi Rastapopulos, welcome to the forums! 
Looks like we have a similar background story, as I'm also from Germany and originally encountered Hold'em poker during my student days. The poker boom may have passed by now, but I actually remember the game being pretty popular back in the day. Personally, I have moved on to other versions of poker by now, but I hear there's still plenty of money to be made at Hold'em.
BTW, we do have a pretty big German community, if you prefer, but of course you're more than welcome to stay around in the English/international one.
So, what kind of games are you playing, or planning to play in the future? Is it mostly cash games or tournaments? And do you already have a poker account somewhere?
There will be plenty of material over here for you either way. I look forward to seeing you around!
