I use to play at Carbon Poker and paid close attention to Poker Tracker's HUD information. Last year I started playing at Ignition when Poker Tracker did not offer HUD. Now that HUD is offered, I realize that I prefer to not view all those stats. I just concentrate on playing a strong generic strategy. Am I the only player who tried HUD, but will no longer use it? I believe that I was out smarting myself by worrying about my opponent's tendencies instead of making sound fundamental poker decisions.

I don't use a HUD myself and rely on note taking and tells. I've done okay so far without a HUD, and I estimate my winrate is 6bb/100 over two million hands. Albeit at 2NL and 4NL, both full ring and 6max tables. I am told my winrate would increase with a HUD, and it is something I am considering because I intend to move up shorty and may need that extra help. I've hung around at 2nl 4nl for far too long now.
Having said that, I think playing without a HUD forces one to play more intuitively. Recognising certain betting patterns of players which mass multi tablers miss out on. Relying too much on their HUD stats and little else.
