$3.09 pot ($0.13 rake)
Final Board: T♦: 2♥: 7♦: J♦: 6♣:
Hero mucked A♣: A♠: and lost (-$1.51 net)
CO mucked and won $2.96 ($1.45 net)

Opp is fish with 49/30 and AF of 1,0 after 39 hands. I'm pretty sure I have to fold here but my question is should I even bet? Is it better to check/call small bet, and check/fold to bigger, or even to X/F to any bet?

Hi,

What range do you see him flat call preflop?

I would do something like this:

Spoiler

88-22,AQs,KJs+,QTs+,J9s+,T8s+,98s

Actually Turn is a terrible card for you and while I would still cbet here I would do so for only 1/2 of the pot and x/f river.

As played not going to call this river.

X/F is too weak IMO. Bet/fold is fine he still has many worse hands that will call a small bet. You can bet small with all betting hands to protect vs raise.

Problem is he plays 49% of hands, you can't actually put him on a range.

My thoughts exactly, just wanted to know is it OK.

You played this hand quite well. Your bet amounts at preflop, flop, turn, and river are quite appropriate. Because of the flush scare, it was correct to bet small at the turn and river. I hate paying Villains when they hit the flush. Villains play strongly indicates that he has the flush. Thus, folding the river was fine.

I'm very selective when triple barreling and overpairs are usually not the hands I do it with. Prefer to check somewhere down the road.
A 39 hands sample is not reliable. Don't go overboard with small samples (anything below 1k).
Villain can defnitely have some slowplayed flushes OTR, and bet/calling after triple barreling is often bleeding money.
Your river size is appropriate for a bet/fold line indeed.
