Hi and welcome to my journey to NL 50 starting at NL 2. In this blog I will try to share my progress from NL2 all the way up to NL 50. I don't really want to make any commitments or promises, but I will do my best to keep this blog updated. I have tried to make a blog before, but after a couple of weeks I just felt too lazy to post anything here and at the end I also took a long break from poker it self. However, I feel very excited to get back on poker tables and I would like to share my progress, well at least I hope it will be a progress, on micro stakes poker tables.
About me: My name is Tom and I am from Eastern Europe a small country called Latvia. I am currently working full time as a travel agent for one of the largest travel agencies in United States. I truly like my job as it is very exciting and fun. Also the salary is way above the average salary in our country, so I am very happy with what I am doing. Regarding the poker, I started to play around 4-5 years ago online for real money. Well It didn't went well at all on first few deposits as I busted my bankroll pretty fast. However, now I have done some research and the knowledge I have about the game is slightly higher than it was before. I am confident that I can beat the NL2 is no time, well at least that's what i hope, but we will see.
As the title says, my end goal of the blog is to reach NL 50. I don't have a time frame on it, so it might be in few months, maybe few years, but lets hope for the first one. I will be playing on Pokerstars starting at NL 2 Zoom, but might mix it up with some regular tables as well.
My Starting bankroll is 20$
Last week results:
Last week I played a total of 5388 hands
Profit was: 36.35$
I think it was quite a nice profit for the low volume I managed to squeeze out, so I am pretty much happy with the results so far.
Goals for this week:
Play a total of 7500 hands
Study some poker theory for 2 hours
Analyze my played hands and find the main leaks.
Since it is already Tuesday when I am making this blog, I already have some hands played, so here is the results of the week so far.
Total hands played: 1248
Profit so far: 29.20$
I had to make a withdraw last night, so my bankroll for now is 29,80$.
BRM strategy:
0-100$ - NL2 Zoom
100-250$ NL5 Zoom
250$-650$ - NL 10 Zoom
650$-1250$ - NL 25 Zoom.
1250$ - ? NL 50 Zoom
Once I will reach bankroll that will let me move up the stakes I will take 4 buy in shot and if I will loose the 4 buy-ins I will move down the stakes again. This way I should be able to not go broke

So far I have made 65.55$ in July, and lets hope the rest of the month will be even better. I will also post some hands here in future as well and I will try to find only interesting hands or very huge pots.
I will appreciate any kind of a feedback or comments about my blog and hopefully you guys can give me a motivation to update my blog on weekly basis.
