Hi, I definitely wouldn't let this hand go blind vs blind. This hand is a bit weird coz I think villain would raise preflop with a strong ace or pocket pair, I think he is trying to use his big stack to apply pressure and using the 2nd ace as a scare card.

After your turn bet you are pot committed, I would insta-push against his minraise and hope he is betting with a weaker ace/straight draw, if he calls you with a stronger ace or full house thats unlucky, but theres no way I'm folding such a strong hand blind vs blind, or probably even multiway.

Didnt notice I was pot comitted, in that case i understand it must've been a push.

I dont think he was tryin to bluff though, players at this limits dont do that kind of plays, I think.

Thanks!

Well the pot is twice the size of your remaining stack after villains minraise, if you shove over the top of it you're getting 3:1 pot odds if they call, if you win the hand you stand a good chance of winning or cashing.

When ur up against one opponent trips is a monster hand! SB could be "value betting" a pair of 6's, by folding you leave yourself short with not much fold equity, n the blinds will eat at ur stack.

If they call ur push n have you beat thats bad luck, but folding such a strong hand in situations like this will cost you a lot of money in the longrun.

Without callingstation reads on him one could think about raising preflop and very often this will make you take down the pot right there. However, a c-bet will already cost you a considerable part of your stack so against a player, who does not like to fold, I prefer your check.
Postflop I would only call the flop. Most times he has only very few outs against you and your raise makes a lot of worse hands fold that he would maybe bluff again on the turn.
As played I would definitely go broke as he can still have a worse A or a lower pair that he thinks is good as he doesn't believe you hold the A.

I still prefer raising preflop, A8s is simply too good. steinek makes a good point though.

As played I coldcall flop

as played turn looks good

The problem with the preflopraise is just the stacksizes. We raise to about 350 he calls. Then the pot is 700 and our conti should be something like 400-450 and if he calls this one as well (players with his stack tend to do so) we have invested about 800 chips and have to give up most of the time. I always think about the possible betsizes postflop and whether I am really willing to get into this situation.
Why do you like the turnfold? Do you think the minraise ist always a better ace or even a fullhouse?

misread the hand, saw the 2nd ace and assumed hero bet/shoved
