Was this a terrible fold given the large amount of dead money in the pot ?

I tried to calculate how much equity is needed to make a profitable call.
If i did it correct, I should have needed 38% equity.
My hand has 35% equity vs his hand range(Ajs+, AQo+, KQs+, 77+) which means it would have been a bad call.

Have I made a correct estimate ? Is this hand range to tight ?
