NL5 hand from Ignition, Upon review I think I should have at least called on the turn given the price, however my question is in regards to the river. Lets say I called the opponent on the turn and then he shoves the river on a blank, should I be calling? When playing the hand I folded the turn as I couldn't put him on any bluffs apart from KJ or some weird turned clubs without the A♣:, at worst I felt I was folding to an overvalued :Qx:, interestingly the opponent had 8♠:7♣: ?(
Would appreciate your opinions

If you would call the turn you need to be sure you beat something and a fish isn't min raise with a draw I think on the flop. Otherwise you should stack off and I would fold the tuen as well.

You need to think in ranges and do you think he would min raise KQ on the flop?

I think some villains would mini raise you, in position and HU, with AQ, KQ, QJ (tp + str8 and/or flush backdoor draw), OTF.
Slowplayed KK+ pre are also possible (yeah, the villains there are idiots). Sometimes even JJ and AKs (don't ask me why people play weirdly on Q or J high boards).

Most of the time, I would be worried about mini raises OTT, specially, mini check/raises OTT: almost always 2pairs or better vs unknown or passive fishes.

Of course, by calling OTT, OOP, your life could be difficult OTR. I guess you could continue on a blank river and/or on vs a small cbet.

BTW, I would raise bigger pre, OOP. Probably to 35.

I would also raise bigger preflop.
I don't like the flop size. Notice that it is a rainbow board and you can call a check/raise (not that you couldn't call on a two-tone or a monotone board btw, you can and you should). Bet smaller.
I would call a 1/2 bet OTT even OOP. You will be checking almost any river but remember that you hold the A♣:. You can use that card to turn your hand into a river bluff if the flush comes, but this is just a side note.
Or you can check/call a smallish bet for instance on blanks as pguest said.
I've seen some overplayed top-pairs, even second pairs in this situations.

You just can't call the flop raise and fold OTT vs less than 1/2 and a total brick, it absolutely makes no sense. What you expect? That the hand will be checked down to showdown?
