Im not winning player yet, but i feel my time will come. I have tried new playing technique LAG and it seems much better for me when most players are playing tight and 3x betting preflop and half betting on the flop seems to work well. I try to play alot of hands lets say 20%. and i have noticed that for me hands like 89s, 79s, T9o, TJo etc.. they are much easier to fold if you dont hit the board and you dont end up losing too much. Usually i am more calm when playing 8Ts than AK. And sometimes they make good combinations. Usually hands that throw me out from a tournament are KK,QQ,JJ,AK,AQ,AJ

but my problems come when we are closing to price money middle stages. I like to three bet alot preflop and half bet flop, but almost everytime middle stages start people start to play more aggressively. When i 3x bet someone with a smaller stack go all in or someone else re raise and i end up folding and my blind steals are not working anymore. I am confused about my game, if poker gods dont give me cards i am starting to lose my stack middle stages with my beautiful meadium strenght hands. Should i tighten up my game? All the forums say you should open up and be brave. Of course depends on the table but online your table changes all the time and usually there is people who are short stacked who are playing tight and few aggressive players with medium to big stack who usually makes table uncomfortable.

How should i approach to this problem? And if someone has tips for playing hands above i mentioned that end up my tournaments i would appreciate.

I have moved your question to our tournament board. There fits it better.

I don't know how much experience you have with tournaments and what kind of limits you normal play, but I recommend checking our https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?threadid=314586 and there you find all basic information.

Hey Dude,

well iam a 2k11-2k14 around 20k$ ish winner (half in touneys and sit and go 1-20 tables) ...iam already not beating the micros.
i have weak gameplan fold to the wrong and also call the wrong people ...all my 80% get suck outed like a flip 50/50 ...i have to do hard work on my A Game to win them back.

1.) So Poker has changed over time ....Players play diffrent players make more aggressiv moves ....and in NL you never know if your enemy will shove the River.
So i guess "Reads" is the most valueble thing in Tourneys ....figure out how them think before you play big pots with them.

2.) Tourneys have faster Ante now ...but doesnt matter if the blinds increase all stacksizes effectivly sink (hard) ...therefore all play more tight. If you don´t 3-bet 2x-3x more tight than in the early stages you don´t respect [Blinds; Stacksizes; Game dynamics; and the overall tighter approach] if you don´t adept in your 3-bet range you just get "crushed" dramaticly .... overfolding or overcalling ....you can´t random bluff without any read and any backdoor draws or outs ....is just "bad" burning money. stop 3-bet lose (maybe call and just overbet F with two pair +) and call or ch/f your weak and "made hands" ...which most likly the second best hand

YOu respect NASH ...every 2 cards have equity against your call ....if you 3-bet oop and get called or raised you the underdog .... even a ch from opponent oop to you doesnt mean weakness ...is just bluffinduce or a try to draw cheap (if you ahead with weak pair or two pair) ... most problems is other 2 cards equity and Nash when it comes to a all in situation (every one else profit your two action all in) ... ask your self how much is potential risk to the small reward and ...can i find a sweeter spot with much more value for the price of this actually incoming move -EV$ and probably -EVchip

good luck ... think about your mindset (about wasting chips in important blindlevel) without the nuts or a good Equity - other players dont care you 45 BB deep they wait a strong hand and even be happy is the weakest handrange to play against the chipleader (if you are 3-betting a T8s, when them 15 BB deep with AKs+ JJ+ just openraise or limping)
