Hi!

Long story long :f_drink:
I've been a member here since 2011 so I thought it was time to introduce myself. My cousin tought me how to play NLHE when I was like 12 or 13 (2003-2004 sometime) and I was hooked straight away.
I started staying up late so I could watch poker on TV and that's basically how I learnt any form of strategy even though I probably didn't understood much, I really can't remember. Started playing on full tilt probably around 14 or so but since I couldn't deposit any Money it was all under a fake name and just for play Money, until I found a Daily $100 Scandinavian freeroll I could play. I played it almost every day facing usually around 1000 player where you had to Place in the top 27 to cash. After a few weeks I finally cash those coveted $2!
The hype was real and I started playing cash games straight away and got up to like $3.50. Put it all in a MTT ended up pretty Deep ITM and after that it took off.
Pretty quickly I had amassed a whopping $200+ dollars and the 14 year old me was sure I was going pro. Never havin Heard about variance or bankroll management though a few weeks Went by and I was bankrupt. I started playing freerolls again, never cashing any more than $2 a few times and when I was never able to replicate my first success. Growing bored of the play Money and the freerolls I started playing less and probably stopped playing not long after.

Since then I have never really had any big Dreams of living of poker but I have played recreationally every now and then. I would estimate that I've deposited (and lost) about $100-$150 a year since I turned 18, but Always seeing it more of a fun hobby than a way to make any Money.

Along comes August 5 2019 and I get the urge to play some poker. I deposit ~100 bucks. When I'm down to about 70 I buy in for a satellite to the sunday million for $11 (yeah yeah, BR Management I know, but a guy can Dream right). I win to playing the biggest tournament in my "career" (11 August) and end up winning 370 something dollars. The Hype is back baby! Having played almost exclusively MTTs and SNGs in the past I decide to give cash games a shot. I withdrew some of my sunday winnings btw so my BR is $200. Over the course of the first week playing mainly NL10 (I Think? 5c/10c blinds) I got that up to $250 over 3k hands. I once again try my luck on a satellite to the sunday million, success and once again cash, this time ~$350 (18 August). KidPkrJ in the house.

Along came week 2 and reality hit me hard. KidPkrJ has left the building and ThePkrJ tendencies of being a losing player shows it's true nature. On the 20th I was up 834BBs over 4093 hand (20.38BB/100) but now 2 Days later I'm down to -247BBs over 5396 hands. Meaning -83BB/100 these last 1.3k hands. TheWhale J checking in. I wish I could blame it all on bad beats but that just wouldn't be true. At least I won another sunday million satellite so hattricks in satellites's gotta be Worth something right?^^

Anyways, that's my whole poker journey so far! Going forward I decided I didn't want to just piss away all my poker Money like I've done in the past, but my goal is to at least become a winning player. Hence my return and first post on this site. If I could reach a Point where I over time make a consistant $15/h that's where I would probably quit my day job, but first things first, the road to break even.

TLDR; Sup dawg?
