Hero trips on the flop villain shoves river

If you bet that big on the river with only 84c behind a fold is out of the question for me, but there aren't to many weaker hands I can think off he would push here. Maybe a weaker Ax hand.

Possibly a run out you could turn AQ in to a bluff catcher or just go 1/3p to target the Jx and Tx fd's that picked up a pair on the river.

I believe it is overplayed. I would double barrel and check/call most rivers.
Betsizing was awful.
River you have no choice but to call.

I also think too river better play check-call. But if you bet a river you had to call this push.

Is check calling .80 .90 better than value betting say 1/3p .30 ?. By betting 1/3p we maximize value and can minimze losses if we b/f to a raise as villain likely doesnt raise worse hands on the river.

This is a very precarious position. You have no way of knowing if you are far ahead or losing. I like a River Check/Call.
