We're about 280bb effective. I don't think it's a good idea to overbet 5 times pot size. Additionally I don't think we should put in 280bb on bottom set where villain can have a higher set or flopped a straight. If it were 100bb I'd agree ... we're protecting against a LOT of draws he can have and play aggressively. But on 280bb this is not an option for me.

On the turn I'm uncertain whether we should check or bet with a middling sizing. We now beat a straight on the flop and we absolutely crush a flushdraw.
If we check we fail to get value from both those hands, but lose less vs 77, 75 and 55. If we bet light we give away the exact strength of our hand a little too much, since we don't seem to be worried about draws any more. If we bet too heavy we don't get called by worse. It's very likely flushdraws would not call off a midsize bet here. Against a reraise we could comfortably fold.

As played I don't know what we do on the river for sure. Probably call. We induced a raise. Straights and overpairs would likely check/call. 75, 55 and the unlikely 77 bets and has us beat. The only bluff hand that would play this way is a busted flushdraw, but there are many combinations of that hand that could reasonably flat preflop, reraise flop, check turn because of the paired board and bluff the river. I think we do call and if we are beat we just put a note on him if it was 75.

I think it was well played. I can see another line on the turn but I'm not sure whether it's better. I certainly wouldn't be willing to play for my whole stack in this situation.

Agreed i didnt look at the stack sizes im not sure why we check back the turn though.I think we should be betting that turn to set up a big river bet.On the turn were ahead of the straight and 44 which villain can have for value.Unless were checking to allow villains flush draws to catch up

3betting flop could be a option, but as played I would bet the turn for sure for value and go broke most of the time, but in the end it worked out for you.
