NL16 6Max, tough call on river?

I would raise mire pre oop and if you want to bet flop sizing up is fine. the king paird you are oop. Its less likely that he has it. According to that I bet turn again. On the river I aim for a weak party of his rsnge and therefore I would bet small.

Agreed you goto raise a bit more pre-flop. When we are IP 3x is fine, when we are OOP you goto but it 3.5x-4x.

Flop how come we are doing a 1/3 bet? I have seen you do this before, is this your standard play? Would you also do it with Top pair or a draw? Is the rest of the table doing it?

The reason for this is because of table image of this bet, if villain thinks it is weakness he may continue with hands and try to outplay you.
If you always do this bet I think it would be fine, but personally I never go below 1/2 pot on flops so I don't induce some kind of bluff raises or weird plays from villain when I am OOP. If you totally expect this to happen and are trying to induce it, that would be pretty sick as well but can put you into tough spots.

As played bet turn again as standard, unless you know he will your checks to bluff and we can take more money.

As played river call is ok, we are either totally beat or not. Since he is shoving I think we may have got him beat and would make a crying call.
I just don't see a Kx shoving here as he would want us to call and not fold. I don't think this on this limit they go to the thinking level yet to shove on purpose to induce a call as they know that we think the shove is seen as weakness.

So, I noticed that this opponent is rather aggressive before the hand took place.

I agree with the concept of bigger 3bet oop but against BTN/CO on SB/BB, I almost always use 9BB with all my range.
I will make it bigger though for special occasions. I do remember thinking he might defend light though.
My cbet size usually is 30%ish or 40%ish, here I bet smaller to keep worse hands in, to charge, I did check turn to see what he does because I felt like the K on turn is actually a good card for me but the draws are still there so I think betting turn for value is probably better.

So, the reasons for calling are, I may appear weak, the draws missed, an protection vs bluffs. Your mention of why someone with King would bet so big to miss out on value is a good one too. I didn't think about that one during play.

It looks like good play preflop and postflop also.

Well, literally all possible draws miss and the shove is rather weak so I am fine with calling the river.

I would 3bet bigger preflop and certainly cbet larger on that board that is good for both your ranges. I like check / calling the turn and river on this board as well.
