The villain is 21/16, af7.0, 3B:10.9, F3:25 249 hands

This is kind of a strange hand because I don't remember him doing this before, donk three times.

PokerStars - $0.16 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 4 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BB: 102.56 BB
Hero (CO): 126.13 BB
BTN: 117.19 BB
SB: 109.44 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has T♠ A♠

Hero raises to 3 BB, fold, fold, BB calls 2 BB

Flop: (6.5 BB, 2 players) 6♥ 3♣ T♦
BB bets 1.88 BB, Hero calls 1.88 BB

Turn: (10.25 BB, 2 players) A♣
BB bets 5.38 BB, Hero calls 5.38 BB

River: (21 BB, 2 players) 9♥
BB bets 11.06 BB, Hero calls 11.06 BB

Thoughts?

The donk on the flop looks polarised between sets and air. So i would raise the flop and get value from the bottom of his range and check back the turn looking to get value from weak 10s on the river

results??

May be later? The results would kill the discussion.

I'm raising flop more often than calling, especially without the backdoor flushdraw. Your hand needs protection.
Turn is interesting. The ace is the best card for your range, because you will float wide vs that small flop lead (won't you?).
I prefer calling as played too. I think a weaker Tx folds to a raise.
River you should consider shoving (yes, shoving). You have top two and you're close to the top of your range as played. AA, TT, 87s is maybe the very top of it.
You don't represent 33, 66, 99.
On the BB he can have T3s, T6s, 63s, T9s, maybe even A3s, A9s, so there's some value in shoving river.
For bluffs shove hands like 98s, 97s, 85s.

yeh shove river :f_love:

A small lead on the flop isn't exploiting villains range? hes betting 1.8bb into 6

Nice spot here.
Steal vs defend.

flop small donk. dry board. // not uncommon , usually played with one pair middle pair overpair etc // depending on you nuts and bluffs.

info I don't remember him doing this before.
// this is a good indicator that you need more information. winning by folding can be an option. wait for another spot.
info I don't remember him doing this before.
Often it means nuts when its a known. player. Or multi tabling and not paying attention for actions.

Actually i see the range of the player quite wide. 33+, Ax+ Tx + xclub xclub + on the river its quit nutty min AT 33-66-99 AK T9, or weird combos 36.

Toppair and 2pair. play activ 2 streets... passiv 2-3

Active line: i like to raise the flop make it normal pot and do nothing on the turn. and adjust on the river. 2 streets. vs strength i would fold for now.

passiv line: as played it is ok as read and potcontrol. No information. Only at showdown.

Question here is, is he acting on you or not. Some player are really aggressive and are good at reading stats. So its possible for you that you being exploited . Dont bother take your note and possibly avoid this player if it bothers you.

Thank you all.

So this player is a regular who plays four tables at these stakes and I ran into him here and there.

I checked him in out in PT4 and I found out that I have never played a big pot against him(no bigger than 30BB) but mostly me winning small pots against him by acting passive against him.

During the hand, I saw that I had him color coded in game as red which means like extra aggressive so my plan usually is to open up the firing range for the rifle nuts and pistol mania but here I was curious to see his hand for sure.

The Results:

Spoiler

BB shows Q♥ K♣ (High Card, Ace)
(Pre 38%, Flop 25%, Turn 9%)
Hero shows T♠ A♠ (Two Pair, Aces and Tens)
(Pre 62%, Flop 75%, Turn 91%)
Hero wins 41.19 BB
Interesting....

His line can make sense. But not sure if his betting sizes helping him.

Would you call just an T on the river.

So actually, you do have an idea how to play against him. Then you have chosen the right line.
Work on your notes and markers that you have this information more present in your thoughts in game. And watch out that this is maybe just a fluke and you saw his bluffing range here. Betsize can be an indicator here. Same line with river 65% or pot is value hand.
Good luck keep up the good work.

/ edit. an more advanced approach would be if he makes this just because of the board. but you need more data to support this. For an opponent such an engagement to the board can be really hard to spot and misinterpreted.

Never fold OTR,we are ahead almost always, imo. Calling 3 streets vs aggro reg is ok, lose minimum and winning max(if bluffing)...
Raise OTF would be best,imo.

May be not? Although I would feel weird folding.

this tho in a nutshell. I see villan firing the river with 100% of his range, but would be more inclined to take more passive lines in similar spot in future hands
