99 - Q high board - call on river?

As played call the river.

I would use a bet/fold or check/call line on the turn. You cannot check fold as villain will likely call with weaker than a Q on the flop to float

I do think c-betting on the flop is not the highest ev play. I like to keep his range wider by check calling.

On the river how it is played out you will see a lot of Qx with this sizing you need to be good around 1/3rd of the time and I don't think you manage to get there without a read that villain is spewtard.

T9o and TJo probably don't call pre and you block T9s villain can still have AJs KJs ATs for floats possibly some back door draws.And value hands are basically AQs AQo KQs QJs i don't expect villain to turn 8x in to a bluff but they could turn small pp's in to a bluff i guess.Villain doesn't really have a wide bluffing range from these positions but probably wide enough for a call so over all i think you played it ok although folding probably isn't a big mistake.Check calling the flop could be the better play though as advancedTN1984 said but i'm not 100% sure.

First, i would bet 1/3 on the flop. 0 draws that you are afraid of and you want weaker hands to call.

Turn might check/call and might 1/3 pot again.

On the river - I would block it something less than 1/2 pot. This way you get value from 8x, you deny him the possibility to bluff you out of the hand and you do not have to pay a pot bet in case he has Qx/78/77. if raised - easy fold.

As played you have to call your 99/jj/tt type of hands here and may be A8
