AQ - flat call pre-flop

Folding pre-flop with AQo seems weak against most villains. Even on NL2.
I wouldn't mind the call in position against him. Your line post-flop seems fine as well.
It's interesting to know how you have calculated that you are 30% of the time ahead on the river.

30% are the pot odds (bit better than 1:2).

I meant if my equity is at least 30% it is a profitable call.

Nothing wrong with this line.
I would have played this hand exactly the same as you did if I have no info of villain.

Every once in a while you run into AK or a set. But whatever. Most of the time, you get profit from Ax and Kx hands you beat.

It's never a fold pre tho. 3bet of call are your options with this hand.
Great thing about 3betting is that you can rep AA, KK, AK on the flop.

Well. Calling is fine.
If you 3bet AQ, what do you keep in your calling range.
Some strong hands like AQ are very nice to call it down with.

I 3bet AK and lower Ax cards.
Problem with AQ, AJ in your 3bet range is, AK is in the 3bet calling range of a lot of villains. So.. playing the flop sucks a lot.

Your hand is too good to fold if you hit. But you always have the feeling you're up against AK, call it off and hate yourself when you see you where right..
That's my experience at least, so I changes my lines with AQ, AJ and put them in my calling range. Problem solved 🙂

Call preflop is fine and a 3b could work as well, but you should know what's this villain's pfr and if you don't have that info, you should check how much population is opening on UTG at your stakes to determine your default 3b range. I haven't played NL2 like ever, so I can't tell, but call and 3b can be viable depending on villain's/population's tendencies.

Postflop is standard.

P.S.: Your odds on the river are correct, you need 29.6% equity against his range.
