Check/Shove with set

First of all, you have to 3b preflop for value.

Flop play seems fine.

Turn, you seem to overbet a lot. I would suggest you learn more about betting theory so you will know when and why to overbet. This is not a spot to do it.

You are most likely facing a fish here based on his stats. And he could have all sorts of holdings that will pay you off if you make a normal sized raise, but will fold if you overbet like you did. Now, if villain has a monster like 2p or better, you are stacking him anyways and most of the time he's drawing dead against you. Secondly, you want villain to call his draws without proper odds, not fold them against a huge overbet. Hence I would raise turn to 14.5$. That way he's making a mistake calling his draws while he's not making a mistake when he's folding them to your overbet. And as a player you make money from opponent's mistakes. Furthermore, you have position and river will be easy to play.

And overall, that board is really not that scary for you. Villain shouldn't have many hands with lots of equity against you.

You mean if flop was J♣:T♥:5♣: and then turn was 9♣:? I will presume, that's what you meant by your question and please correct me if I'm wrong.

On J♣:T♥:5♣: flop you should raise for value with TT and calling there would be a mistake. And if you raise flop, then you can shove when 9♣: hits the turn because then SPR would be smaller.

If you however would play flop like you did and board was J♣:T♥:5♣:9♣:, then you still can't overbet shove with your set because the SPR is too big and you would only get called by straights and flushes. You want to still make a standard sized raise, but like I said, in that case you should've raised flop and then the turn would play differently.

I raise flop Vs pot size, as played I don't shove.
Turn I raise 14-18$, as a the First World War.
