Mostly I wouldn't raise with A3o from the CO, but at the time the game was fairly tight, so I loosed my range for Aces... now, to the hand

PokerStars - $0.02 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3

BTN: $3.05 (152.5 bb)
SB: $2.23 (111.5 bb)
BB: $2.90 (145 bb)
UTG: $2.10 (105 bb)
MP: $2.69 (134.5 bb)
Hero (CO): $3.59 (179.5 bb)

SB posts $0.01, BB posts $0.02

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.03) Hero has A♠: 3♦:
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.05, fold, SB calls $0.04, fold

Flop: ($0.12, 2 players) 6♦: A♦: J♥:
SB checks, Hero bets $0.08, SB calls $0.08

Turn: ($0.28, 2 players) 8♣:
SB checks, Hero bets $0.18, SB calls $0.18

River: ($0.64, 2 players) 5♠:
SB checks, Hero ????

In this situation what should I do? I wasn't really sure of the villains range and there are some really passive players on NL2, should I bet or just check behind? My first instinct was bet, but I found this situation quite tricky,

Spoiler

River: ($0.64, 2 players) 5♠:
SB checks, Hero checks

Results: $0.64 pot ($0.02 rake)
Final Board: 6♦: A♦: J♥: 8♣: 5♠:

SB shows J♠: K♣:: (One Pair, Jacks)
(Pre 42%, Flop 18%, Turn 11%)

Hero shows A♠: 3♦:: (One Pair, Aces)
(Pre 58%, Flop 82%, Turn 89%)

Hero wins $0.62

I'm usually quite sure in situations like this, but not sure why I second guessed myself so much here. What do you guys think?

I would only bet the river for thin value if villain is a calling station.
It's really tough to get value or get a better hand to fold.

That was actually my first instinct, but I've seen really passive players only XC with monsters (once I lost KK vs AA with AK on the board just by betting and getting called) so I think that affected a little my mindset, it shouldn't, but it did.

Cheers
