to bet for value, you have to be the favorite vs the calling range.

you lose to JT, 65, AQ, AJ, A9, A8, A7, 99, 88, 77, 98, 87 and 97.

now you have to find more hand combinations you win against to make this a value bet. good luck. :f_biggrin:

bet smaller on flop - your hand isn't that strong.
check the turn - you are usually behind vs your opponent's calling range when called.

If you aren't sure whether you are happy or not when your opponent calls, it's probably a bad bet. and your hand is something like a "value/bluff"

checking here also allows you to call off some bluffs on a bunch of straight rivers
