no info about villain, marked as a fish because of the stack size

PokerStars - $0.05 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3

SB: $5.00 (100 bb)
BB: $5.00 (100 bb)
Hero (UTG): $8.02 (160.4 bb)
MP: $5.05 (101 bb)
CO: $4.84 (96.8 bb)
BTN: $5.56 (111.2 bb)

SB posts $0.02, BB posts $0.05

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.07) Hero has A♠: A♥:
Hero raises to $0.15, fold, CO calls $0.15, 3 folds

standard open raise

Flop: ($0.37, 2 players) 8♥: 7♥: Q♦:
Hero bets $0.26, CO calls $0.26

value bet + protection (probably can be bigger) against Ax, Qx, 8x, 7x and a lot of draws

Turn: ($0.89, 2 players) 8♠:
Hero bets $0.64, CO calls $0.64

8 does not change anything (I guess it is helping me more than him because I am beating now all two pair hands) so value bet protection (again I think I can use bigger sizing)

River: ($2.17, 2 players) 4♥:
Hero bets $1.56, CO calls $1.56

FD completes but there are still a lot of hands I am beating. I think a better line would be to bet something like 1/3 of the pot and fold to raise?

Spoiler

Results: $5.29 pot ($0.22 rake)
Final Board: 8♥: 7♥: Q♦: 8♠: 4♥:

Hero shows A♠: A♥:: (Two Pair, Aces and Eights)
(Pre 82%, Flop 78%, Turn 5%)

CO shows 9♠: 8♦:: (Three of a Kind, Eights)
(Pre 18%, Flop 22%, Turn 95%)

CO wins $5.07

I like your line and agree with betting 1/3 pot on river and folding to raise. Too many draws continue on that flop and have you dominated by the river.

Sizing on river could be smaller. I would most likely make it around half pot against a fish and fold to a shove to get a little bit more value against a weaker player if you would make a 1/3 Cbet.
