Hi,

I am pretty new to this forum and playing poker seriously, so this is my first post. I'm currently grinding the micros in order to get my basics down and still struggelling a lot. One of the problems I am still facing is when to lay down a made hand against a better hand and when to follow through. In the below example do you think I should have folded (check folded) on the turn? I think my river bet really was stupid...

GG Poker - $0.05 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players

UTG: $6.93 (138.6 bb)
MP: $5.19 (103.8 bb)
CO: $1.38 (27.6 bb)
Hero (BTN): $6.34 (126.8 bb)
SB: $2.72 (54.4 bb)
BB: $5.89 (117.8 bb)

SB posts $0.02, BB posts $0.05

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.07) Hero has Q♥: A♥:
fold, MP raises to $0.13, fold, Hero calls $0.13, SB raises to $0.38, fold, MP calls $0.25, Hero calls $0.25

Flop: ($1.19, 3 players) K♥: K♠: A♠:
SB checks, MP checks, Hero bets $0.79, SB calls $0.79, fold

Turn: ($2.77, 2 players) 4♣:
SB checks, Hero bets $1.83, SB calls $1.55 and is all-in

River: ($5.87, 2 players) T♠:

Results: $5.87 pot ($0.29 rake)
Final Board: K♥: K♠: A♠: 4♣: T♠:

Hero shows Q♥: A♥:: (Two Pair, Aces and Kings)
(Pre 76%, Flop 14%, Turn 5%)

SB shows Q♦: K♣:: (Three of a Kind, Kings)
(Pre 24%, Flop 86%, Turn 95%)

SB wins $5.53

Regards

Joerg

This seems liike a decent spot for a 3bet with AQs in position or the MP player is really tight. The rest of the hand seems pretty standard. to bad you walked in to a slowplayed hand.

preflop I would definitely consider 3betting.

When you decide to call his 3bet and end up multiway. I will slow down a lot. I will probably check call...
