I love to go for thin value whenever I can.
But on this hand villain slowplayed me AK and brought me to value town.
So I don't know if this was the correct play here.
Also, one thing I'm doing sometimes to avoid awkward situations like these after 3 bets, is just defending in the BB with hands like these from raises on UTG and MP then call 2 streets of value instead.
So how would you have played this?
i like 3bet, x/c, x/c, x/c.
as played 3bet, bet and then x/c, x/c is better, as the board gets very coordinated OTT.
on a A7299 you could go for 3 streets.
I don't think you played the hand bad. I expect a random villain on NL2 could play AJ like this as well. it's to bad you walked in to the top of villains range.

this is true. but a value bet has to beat > 50% of villains range.
we lose to TT, 99, 77, AK, AT, A9, A7, T9s, 98s. now list more hands that we beat.
on 2 NL we de can, just to answer your question, unless we know something about oyr villain
If you expect him to call 3b with all Ax suited, then you can 3 barrel. But if you dont expect him to call all Ax suited then why 3b in first place? And turn sizing is too big, unless you play against player who likes to call.
