hi,

he is a reg and I think I missed a natural triple barrel here. I unblock some diamonds and some queens and he could have weak aces who I can make fold.

iPoker - 10/20 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3

UTG: 1,710 (85.5 bb)
Hero (CO): 1,490 (74.5 bb)
BTN: 2,820 (141 bb)
SB: 1,480 (74 bb)
BB: 1,500 (75 bb)

SB posts 10, BB posts 20

Pre Flop: (pot: 30) Hero has J♣: 9♣:
fold, Hero raises to 50, 2 folds, BB calls 30

Flop: (110, 2 players) 8♣: A♦: Q♦:
BB checks, Hero bets 44, BB calls 44

Turn: (198, 2 players) 3♣:
BB checks, Hero bets 79, BB calls 79

River: (356, 2 players) 6♥:
BB checks, Hero checks

Spoiler

Results: 356 pot (0 rake)
Final Board: 8♣: A♦: Q♦: 3♣: 6♥:

Hero mucks J♣: 9♣:: (High Card, Ace)
(Pre 44%, Flop 25%, Turn 34%)

BB shows 7♦: K♦:: (High Card, Ace)
(Pre 56%, Flop 75%, Turn 66%)

BB wins 356

It's indeed a good spot for a 3th barrel. You can represent a big hand. Especially against a regular it should be profitable.

Yep nice hand to triple barrel on this runout. But why betting so small on turn?

I would bet like 150 or so usually. If you have value hand like decent Ax or better are you betting that small? Anyway with whatever we bet we dont really mind if villain folds fd and at least we dont want to give those in this spot direct pot odds to call. Villain having some sort of fd is pretty high chance as bd fd opens also.

Barreling so smallin such an early stage, you don't get so many folds

Indeed. Sizing could be more on every street. Especially on turn I would make it at least half pot. On river a half pot barrel should be enough to get the job done most of the time.

Less than half pot incentives calls a lot in that situation imo
