Open HJ and familiar lag BU call. BB call also. I cbet top set and BU call.

I could barrel turn and call versus raise but its not really such great situation I suppose. This deep bet-3bet would be pretty hazardous.

So from what I had seen I expected BU to bet very often when nuts change and I check. So plan was to call turn obviously and also call decently often on river. I would have checked all unpairing rivers. Pairing ones it would make more sense to donk bet.

River is really nasty as now both 78 and JT have completed and I think villain is value betting lower straight also. Board being rainbow limits his bluffs also. I just have to fold imo though felt nasty as I had folded so often versus this guy with busted drawing hands. Might be that I play draws too carefully versus this type of player with deep stacks.

Without good reads I play this the same.

I'm always wondering though, how can he bet turn and river big when unless he has 78JT he can only have nuts on one board. That always keeps me thinking and being suspicious. It sucks that you block spades that he could have picked up and barrel but you block a T yourself. Idk if this can be a spot where you shove the river!? Like is he really betting 78 like that on the river and would he ever call that when you shove? It's just that you also block so much of his value continue range on the flop. Tough but overall I would fold

If you have any reads that his floating range is very wide and as you say his stabbing kind of any turn changing card maybe the EV loss is smaller in the long run if you peel this river bet.
