So my image should be somewhat tight on this table. Had very cold deck. SB is also on tight side. I open, SB call, cbet flop not blocking any pairs. SB goes for bit over half pot raise and I thought its good to just call on rainbow flop. Sure I have redraw to nut straight but I think its nice to just call and give villain chance to go for blocker bluff.

Turn is nice blank keeping board rainbow so I just call again. If it opened especially spade or heart fd maybe I would go for turn raise for protection. Not sure how worried I should be of river pairing. Because I think this is very often blocker bluff or nuts. Sometimes like KKQQ (maybe?) or JJQT etc. but those are rare.

River is blank and I snap call versus shove:

So what do you think of villain play? I think preflop call is fine and I could see myself going for very similar line in his shoes. Preferably having nut fd though. Standard line from him or?

Why not? He is blocking nuts but no pair from the board, 4 outs to improve if behind and board is rainbow which should give him more FE as no FD out there. I think he should bet turn bigger vs FH draws that could fold otr whether he has it or not.

Wp by hero.
