hi,

I think this is a really close one. preflop is std with this strong hand imo. I want to iso the unknown player who I knew is likely to be bad. On the flop I think it's a super clear cb due to my fd and overs. I get even more outs on the turn so i simply continue betting oop. On the river I think do I really want to bet this for value and I think he is able to call a 9 or t this way. I target this weak part of his range with a small bet who also dictates my sizing wish. If he raises as he did I am super often beat by two pair or super stupid stuff that he elect to call down. He raises but chooses a super small sizing an I have to as myself am I ahead here every 5th time. Does he really raises often enough with worse. I thought that is not the case and folded. I think you can make arguments for calling because better aces don't limp pre and the str8 should give me action on the turn. I block the flush so that leaves him with weird two pairs or air. he is likely to be recrea and the don't pull river bluffs on this limit so I just let go and seize my edge later. This is probably not a big decision either way but I am interested in the sizing and your opinions in my decision-making process so I choose a rel easy hand for me to start to analyse this.

I would most likely slowdown the turn with the straight and flush outs that you can hit on the river. Villain is most likely a weaker player and you want to keep the pot small without a made hand yet. River is standard i think and normal i would bet around half pot for thin value. I expect villain will only check/raise with better. Off course villain could think your bet size on river is weak and it could induce a bluff, but without reads it's tough to call.

Two options postflop:

- Check flop as you have solid showdown value with plan to x-c if villain bet. Be ready to call lot of time on turn as well.
- Cbet flop with plan to barrel good amount of time putting pressure on villain range.

Problem with your turn bet is sizing. Does this really create much fe or protection if you do have value hand? Not really so I would go lot bigger like 250 which usually start to get some 7x or 9x to fold. On river I would likely just check and use hand as bluff catcher as I would not expect to get calls from weaker anymore.

But when we bet turn so small I suppose there is some merit in betting small on river. Kind of suspicious river raise imo. Would villain just call turn with some T7, T9 type hand? A9 or 97 might raise flop as well. Might be A7 or slowplayed straight. But yeah when someone triple barrels and gets raised its usually very value heavy range. Villain needs to turn some 98 type hands into bluff and when we have J♣: it makes villain being on draw bit less likely. But we do get really good pot odds and only need to be good like 25% of time. Well probably not bad either way. One way to look this spot is how high your hand is in your value bet range on river and do you block possible bluff combos or value combos. Well I think this is bottom of value range and blocker wise its sort of mix.
