So me ~40bb utg 99.
open 2.5, button call, bb raise to 5bb - he has around 60bb ![]()
call, call
Flop: 2♣:3♥:6♦:
BB bets around 17BB
Half of my stack - Got confused here. And called. Was thinking of shoving. BU folds.
Turn 7♦:. He Jams. Think here I should have folded, but made the call
he showed KK. No help on the river.
Either shove or fold flop. If villain folds there is very high chance he is folding 6 out hand which is 26% equity.
It's kind of classical spot versus recreational. I 1 think in general we are facing big pocket too often to stack off and fold is likely better.
Of course range wise 99 might be top or very close to top of our range. But basically to stack off we have to hope BB is doing this with some sort of AQ or 88 type hand often enough. Without read it's probably not the case.
Any reads on villain? Also the phase of the tournament and paid out structure could help.
Read less i would fold the flop most likely. Villains 3bet sizing is really small, but Cbet sizing is huge and you are committed. So calling isn't a option for me and this is a push or fold spot..
