PokerStars - $0.05 PL Hi FAST (6 max) - Omaha Hi - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 86.2 BB
SB: 115.2 BB
BB: 129.8 BB
UTG: 161.6 BB
MP: 272.2 BB
Hero (CO): 113.2 BB

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Openraising a connected paired hand. This play is standard.

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has T♥ Q♦ J♦ Q♣

fold, fold, Hero raises to 3.4 BB, BTN calls 3.4 BB, fold, fold

Now I am have good draws to a nut straight on a rainbow flop. I decided to bet big, but think checking is better because I dont have a blocker but a good draw. Do not think that a lot of Kxxx will fold and also rarely a 9xxx will call.
As played it is close for call because I am blocking the Q for the nutstraight. I have 8 clear outs. Maybe this is a fold after betting. x/c would be better I think.

Flop: (8.2 BB, 2 players) 4♦ 9♠ K♣
Hero bets 7.8 BB, BTN raises to 31.2 BB, Hero calls 23.4 BB

Turn is a very good card and gives me a lot of equity now against trips, and 2pair. Unfortunately it is not the nutflushdraw, but should me give some equity for sure. For sure I have to call now.

Turn: (70.6 BB, 2 players) 8♦
Hero checks, BTN bets 51.6 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 51.6 BB

River: (173.8 BB, 2 players) 2♥

BTN cashed out 124 BB for a fee of 1.2 BB

Pre easy open. Flop we want to x-c as you said. Betting doesn't achieve that much good. Better mostly not folding and we block draws that QQ would be ahead. Also we definitely don't want to get raised.

You have roughly 20% chance to improve on turn. We pay 23.4bb so to calculate what we need to get from villain we can do this:

0.2*23.4=117

117-70.6= 46.4

46.4 is what we need to get from villain when we improve. So we need to get villain to stack off always to get enough implied odds. But in practice that is not enough either because even when we hit straight villain will have some equity from turn to river. So we should fold after getting raised.

On turn we have to call indeed with lot more likely alive outs.

Also as side note I would not really use pot size flop size as default in HU single raised pots with deep SPR.
