I know this is a bad river. But we can't x/f here. and i dont think i can bet 1/3 / 1/4 fold. Not really sure how to think of OOP 3b pots with overpairs. Should i be going for pot control here on the turn or go for stacks?

You mean a bad turn. Of course you can't X/F on that river. Who can fold AA in this spot really? I think the only possible way is when villain shoved the turn it might be possible but he was smart enough to just call there. Honestly I can't see how not to go broke in that hand.

Seriously? You sure that folding AA is best here? Maybe at higher stakes, but I've seen guys doing this with AQ, KK, any 2 pair really.

I wouldn't say its standard check fold spot. But it is a spot that you don't have to go broke in. If I was going broke it would be on the flop. Hero isn't blocking the nut flush. And its not much of a stretch to think villain would call down with AKs or AJs especially with them being deep.

That's more nuanced and better to grasp on

villain does not have two, but at least ten flush combos in his range. AK, AQ, AJ, AT, KQ, w some frequency JT, T9, 98, 87 and the occasional 76, 65, 54, A5, A4 and A3. so blocking the A♠ is crucial.

on the flipside you have most of them, too. so when the flush hits, you have plenty of value hands.

The is no way how to run from this "trap".
You have prelop monster AA, stil good on the flop after 3B preflop, he is calling flop on the low board with one potentional FD.
So turn still looks good, but it was bad card for you. I will not expect 88 in UTG call 3B range. What do you thing he is calling flop with on low board?
Something like overcards AKso, AQs, overpairs TT, JJ ? It is time for slow down.

So take it that sometime happend.

Horrible river your only really beating slow played KK or hero calls with JJ type hands which are both unlikely on this run out. Id love the shove on any other Q river as you beat Qx draws but on this specific run out im not sure check folding is terrible as enough hands with showdown check back that you beat. And i don't see to much worse getting to the river that now bluffs ? i mean are 99 TT JJ with a spade turning in to a bluff ? maybe adjusting turn size makes river decisdions easier because if you bet 1/2p on the turn we can still value jam good rivers but it leaves us an easier check fold on bad run outs maybe.

Yeah not a great river. I think maybe 1/3 sizing so we still get value from alot of his range like 10's J's then folding to a raise.
I'm not sure about the turn. I feel like almost any river we could jam, except a spade. We also want to extract as much value out of his overpairs like 10's J's that might fold to a triple barrel.
I just think if we bet 1/2 on the turn and jam rivers then the river jam is humongous and he can fold alot of holdings and we kinda value town ourselfs when his range becomes nutted to a 80BB+ jam.
