CO: 25.6 BB
Hero (BTN): 57.3 BB
SB: 46.46 BB
BB: 33.26 BB
UTG: 24.34 BB
UTG+1: 52.74 BB
MP: 30.3 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has K♥ J♦

fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 2.5 BB, (2BB would have been ideal from the button, I guess), fold, BB calls 1.5 BB

Flop: (5.5 BB, 2 players) K♦ 5♥ 8♦
BB checks, Hero bets 3.66 BB, BB raises to 10.08 BB, Hero ??? since villain had VP47, PR12 based off around 50 hands, i did not consider him too rational. according to beginner strategy an all-in w/ top pair, kicker good

Spoiler

Hero raises to 54.8 BB and is all-in, BB calls 20.68 BB and is all-in

Turn: (67.02 BB, 2 players) A♣

River: (67.02 BB, 2 players) 4♠

BB shows K♠ 5♣ (Two Pair, Kings and Fives)
(Pre 28%, Flop 70%, Turn 83%)
Hero shows K♥ J♦ (One Pair, Kings)
(Pre 72%, Flop 30%, Turn 17%)
BB wins 67.02 BB

Without reads I would just call the flop in position and her-evaluate the turn. It's tough to get value if you shove or villian is really fishy.

Thanks SDK! Could you elaborate why it is tough to get value when
1. I shove and
2. he is fishy?

Because he will mostly call better and fold worse. Do you. Recalling think he will. Stack of with a worse king here?

allin flop is too optimistic, its maximum call. Vs non aggressive fold would be okay as well

The articles are quite outdated, but still a good source for starting off for beginners! :f_thumbsup:

Stacking off is not a mistake, but calling is just better in position. I think without a diamond it's more of a shove.

With the Jd you can call and call off on every turn, even on a diamond. This way you keep all his bluffs in and since you are in position will get to play perfectly against his weaker Kx.

We are not folding top pairs 30bb deep unless we have a super reliable read that he's NEVER being aggressive with worse. And even then it's kinda meh.
