raising crossed my mind too, as it just seems weak, people who don't understand will do this with some pair + weaker fd in my experience, which also lead me to barreling river as i did, since i've put him on a fd+ maybe something.
And he just kept giving me the price to continue befor, so decided against raising and just continue see the next card.
On the river blocking KQ had just figured that its probably best chance to take down the pot and not run into 2pairs with busted fd - people on plo5 for sure overfold here / its not common that people would bluff this spot or have the need to bluffcatch here because it would almost never pay off.
i like the idea of QQ being better to do the same in this spot, since we are also blocking the lower end straights a bit. but i would've probably not called this pre (QQ72ss)^^
My hand to defend feels quite ok imo vs 1 opponent, don't think one should have to fold this(but agree, likely also not a mistake to let it go), especially being quite deep (160bb-ish) with KKss we have enough nut potential vs 1 to play for stacks on some boards imo and its a hand that is hard to get entangled with in a bad way, easy to let go off in many scenarios if we don't get a good chunk of equity on the flop... but ofc in general it doesn't flop very smooth and see why one would see it as a fold.
@maniac yes half pott is just not enough to defend almost any hand here on the flop and represents very little. there is a bagillion hands that can continue vs half pot on this board, so you wanna go ~75% pot at least (just many draws possible that continue) - if it was a 6d instead of 4d i would even tend to go 90% because board becomes even more dynamic and so many turns become hard to continue on.
