Wilhelm is on the lose side but no other reads. I thought checking doesnt hurt because I lock the board but on the other hand I might miss some value versus weaker draw? And if I get raised on the Turn hand is dead anyway. River sizing?

GG Poker - $0.02 PL Hi FAST (6 max) - Omaha Hi - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 147.5 BB
SB: 174 BB
BB: 103 BB
UTG: 100 BB
Hero (MP): 101.5 BB
CO: 96.5 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has K♠ J♦ Q♠ 9♥

fold, Hero raises to 3.5 BB, fold, fold, SB calls 3 BB, fold

Flop: (8 BB, 2 players) Q♥ 4♦ T♠
SB checks, Hero bets 6 BB, SB calls 6 BB

Turn: (20 BB, 2 players) 4♠
SB checks, Hero checks

River: (20 BB, 2 players) A♠
SB checks, Hero bets 10.5 BB, SB calls 10.5 BB

Thanks for help :)

Yeah I like checking this hand as there is little need for protection so denying equity is not really concern. This way we can also use hand as bluff catcher having top pair. River size is good as default because villain is going to be concerned of boats so if we go close to pot we might force flushes to fold too often.

But yeah if we had this hand without fd or bit weaker version like KQJ8 would like barreling turn usually for half pot. It work as equity denial and thin value. 4x is also very rare for villain to have.

Helps a lot, thanks. Looks like the worse the hand the more I want to barrel?

Well assuming we expect lot of fold equity. In general pairing turns are bit tricky for villain to continue as aggressor has way less capped range. Having top pair blocker is nice as Qx with some support is most common hand to continue versus second barrel as it will block some of our value range.
