I would raise the flop. But I would raise less. Raise to $1,8 would be sufficient. Considering the amount of the pot, it is not a huge raise. You do not have to protect (straight draw is unlikely).

If he called your raise, I would check behind (or call the turn) to induce another bet on the river.
