Turnplay in a 3Bpot BB vs SB

i think with stackpot ratio of 1.5 you have to get it in even though you cant feel good with such a low flush.

i wonder if it is possible to just limp preflop. i know from gto tools in SB openlimp is a thing but i did not train this spot enough unfortunately to tell for sure. another thing might be to just bet half pot flop instead of pot so you have more room to play further streets.

flop donk i like because thats the kind of flops overpairs dont like

I don't use SB open limping as default line. In high rake it's not really good idea.

Flop donk is good but I would prefer half pot to put villain range into tougher spot. Versus full pot villain can be fairly happy to fold most of his range really.

When he does call versus pot I would expect him to have more than just overpair. As two pair and sets are rare for 3bettor range high fd make most sense. So I would say x-f is fine line. If we used half pot on flop I would check also but be more eager to call versus bet depending of sizing.

Anyway if we are willing to continue x-c is still best option imo as that at least give villain chance to bluff. When we pot turn we hope villain has set to call but as said earlier that is unlikely. Set should still be folding mostly versus turn pot as he doesn't have implieds if hitting boat. But ton of players overplay sets in these spot.

Don't limp SB. Even in low rake games where solver wants to limp from SB, it's really hard to get both limping and raising ranges to balance. And in reality it doesn't really increase your EV, in the worst case it lowers it. Open or fold strategy is easy to learn, implement and review.

In the hand, I like potting IF opponent has shown discipline to check back in 3bet pots. Often opponents think donk as sign of a weakness that is scared to see turns or is a semibluff. But as most players as default are cbetting often in 3bet pots (most players on any board) I would go for check-raise. That's what solver would do, btw.

Thing is, if opponent doesn't have a set (rare) or fd, you don't need that much protection. If he has one of those, he probably bets the flop and you can raise. As played, it's very likely that opponent has a flush draw when he calls your pot donk. Check-fold seems reasonable, as opponent should not bet the turn without high flush.
