without reads I fold the river: KK and 77 are rare when you know villain plays solid ranges but you dont. blocking K5 doesnt mean he never has it. you hold 6th nuts and I dont see people checkraising NF on paired board in general. I wouldnt and Im not in the current zone.

I like how the hand is played and I wonder about the flop in terms of GTO: when do we checkback bottom set here frome time to time? I felt like if we hold a spade like we do actually then betting is nice because we block some flushdraws. that also makes me wonder: what to do vs checkraise flop?

In general I only check bottom set in HU pot if we have nothing to go with it. Here we block spade and have bd nfd. Also in HU ranges tend to be very wide so there is probably less checking with hand as strong as set in general. Versus x-r I would have likely called with plan to ship it versus turn barrel on blanks. I dont think 3betting necessarily make ton of sense when we are in position.

Well I would not be happy about it but board like this does offer plenty of draws as well. Also T♠: is not blocking those draws that heavily. It's very different spot if we had like A♠:. Also I would say having 8, 7, 6 of spade would probably be worse from that view than T.

I think BUvsBB would be similar case with wide ranges. With bdfd we have more playability so we can go for cbet and continue versus raise. With dry bottom set we would prefer to pot control more depending of read on villain.

When in doubt, check solver ♦

In HU, solver mixes turn mostly with 1/2 pot and check.

I think we have two options, check turn and call/bet river or bet turn and check back river. In both cases, we are looking to get one bet as value. If we play old school poker, the question is whether it's easier to get that one bet on the turn or on the river. In my experience versus unknown at PLO25, it's easier to get on the turn as draws will not pay if they miss the river. If opponent likes to attack capped ranges, check turn and call river is the way to go.
