[PLO2] AAQ3s 3bet pot OOP

I think theory wise this hand would work as pot-fold hand. A♦: and Q are both strong blockers to create fe. This flop is one where half pot doesnt get lot of folds so this hand doesnt really benefit from that. Issue though is that versus vpip 70 even pot size might not create much fe and I dont really want to pot and stack off personally. I would imagine its roughly breakeven at best. So in the end versus this type of player x-f is likely best.

x/fold when blocking so many made hands?

Well there are not that many turns we are happy to barrel on turn and if we don't get much folds with pot and stack off is marginal it just doesn't bring that many good spots. Like what is our plan if turn is diamond, 6, 7, 8, T, J or K?

Problem with this sort of player is that he won't fold likely any fd. So A♦: blocks one flush out but it doesn't really matter more than that most likely.

I like half potting the flop and folding to a raise. Check call is not a good option with this hand imo.

as what i check out for similar scenario (bb vs BTN to adjust a bit the wide range) its actually half pot and fold vs potraise with the A♦:
think half pot because we still have theoretically kinda good future playability with the diamond but its served better with medium spr on future streets to leave more room i would think.

potcbet or potcheckraise? I consider checkraise as another option since ghaleon mentioned all the tricky turns

Yeah I suppose solver prefer small bet to be able to use nut flush blocker to bluff but versus this sort of player. Well we can try to fold out less than flush maybe.

I dont like x-r because again I dont think hand is strong enough to stack off at least in "happy way"

Exception could be with read that villain stab very wide versus check so we either create ton of fe or villain stack off like gutshot type stuff.

i checked again with couple more filters AAQ without set , no 9,5, no FD/BDFD, no straight draw blocker and A♦:, we bet half pot 98% in solver, check2%. our combo 99,8% and looks like the most reasonable action that we don't want "overcommit" us and the other player, or invest too much and check fold on straightening cards for example.

the small percentage if it checks then just to check call. against half pot bet (ev around 5,4 vs ev check raise pot size 4,6), against potsize bet also 100% check/call (ev 2 vs c/r ev-2)

tyvm, I think 1/2 cbet-fold makes sense meanwhile too
