ZOOM JJ CO vs BU midstack preflop raise

Due to his stack size I would prefer stack off pre-flop with JJ.

I don't get why you "only call" flop and pay his AI when an overcard hits.

My idea is PF:
1 - You loose to AA, KK, QQ
2 - You are slightly over 50% against AK,AQ
3- You dominate the other pockets
4- There is not likely that other broadways and marginal hands are in play

Flop:
Apart from sets, you are pretty much the same, except that your equity against AK/Q has increased, as the number of cards to come reduced from 5 to 2. Because of this, if you decided you will not fold (you don't think villain exclusive range is AA, KK, QQ), you have to go AI on the flop.

Imagine the turn and river is not an A/K/Q:
1- he has AA/KK/QQ/flopped sets, shoves and you call and loose.
2- he has AK/Q and check/folds. You didn't realize your equity

Now imagine (as happened) A/K/Q hit the board but on the river:
1- Against hands you were previously behind you continue to loose
2- Against AK/Q he realized his equity because you allowed him to control action on flop and turn

Read less I would stack off pre-flop for for 54bb effective and as played you are committed if you call the flop. I would shove or not fold the flop. Folding would be weird, because than you should fold pre-flop already. This board is pretty safe for JJ.

I think you can fold pf without more villain data, because even being a recreational player his 3bet range may be too tight, 45/3 style they play a lot of hands passive and only the very good ones aggressive.
If you call pf postflop you have a very low SPR and you are going to be committed on most flops.

3B pot vs half-wit (half-stack)... It does not levae you room for any moves postflop.
I would make the decision preflop.
