CO is solid looking reggy player. CO open, I went for 3bet. Cbet flop half pot and double barreled turn for around 1/3.
Preflop seems bit on wide side with this combo. Its actually kind of whatever hand if we fold, call or 3bet solver wise. A875ds would be pure 3bet though. Seems like my start stack was bit over 90bb in hand.
Flop is fairly disconnected and I have bit of interaction. So to me its either cbet-f or x-f. Went with half pot and get called. I think call range will have some overpairs with some support. Some T98x, Jx, 7+gs and some plain fd hands. Some of better combos like J+fd probably raising often.
So I thought my hand could work as decent second barrel when board pairs. I think in general we get too much folds. I thought villain might fold some overpairs, 7x without strong back up like wrap and some of better fd. Trainer seems to actually use 1/4 pot on turn and follow it through on board like J♠:8♦:2♠:J♣:4♦: with having only 1/3 pot bet when SPR is 0.9. On that board in river busted fd without showdown value went almost always for 1/3 pot bluff especially without 9 or T.
No idea if I would have followed through on river in this hand if CO called again. One of those spots where bet felt ok without having much of plan for river. I think though that we could shove at least 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 type of rivers nicely. Mainly idea being I dont block wrap or high fd type hands that would be natural folds for villain. That said issue for river barrel can obviously be if CO is already overfolding on earlier streets.
