Villain does play too wide preflop but could not remember postflop tendencies that much. I think villain is capable of some spews but no strong read.

Flop is fairly standard x-r to me with all the components. When villain bet-call I assume he will have some two pairs and potentially lower sets. Likely bet-calling too wide with draws which is bit nasty on turn.

So turn complete flush and in practice weaken my holding. Clear check and face half pot bet. I think folding is bit weak here with flush and two pair for some redraw. We could maybe also turn hand into bluff on some pairing rivers though not sure if villain is able to fold better. So perhaps not good idea.

I called turn and x-c again on river with SPR 0.5. Its sort of bad river as now some of the straight draws improved and those are main candidates for bluffs imo. Along some Qx+s+bdfd which might bet-call flop. So I dont know. Kind of feels like we should fold but went for crying call with fairly good pot odds.

Maybe this is an incorrect conclusion, but if 7 high flush is good for a call on the river, why not good your hand for a flop or turn reraise?

TOP2 + FD + BDFD + GS

Flop I went for x-r and would get it in versus 3bet but villain calls. On turn issue of x-r is that I force low/no equity bluffs to fold and weaker really should not call. Hand is also too weak to bet turn.

I find this is a tough one but maybe some of my questions will lead to a solution:

1. maybe a preflop 3bet instead of a call helps by lowering the SPR and thus makes it easier to play OOP postflop?

2. Is flop really a standard checkraise here? I see all the components of course but nothings really nutty and I cant check equitys because of odds oracle website migration but I can Imagine best scenario is we get it in vs OP+better FD and rarely a weake 2pair. are we that much ahead vs OP+NFD? if so:

3. maybe a donk bet is a better solution to get it in OTF and if not keep the pot fairly small in case we hit the flush and maybe find a way to save money on further streets?

Versus any aggressive sort of player I think you played the hand fine. It is tough on the river for sure but you have to make the call.
FWIW, i'm sure the hand would play the same in solverland.

@efkay 2. A good hand to c/r as we have a ton of equity versus almost anything and lots of turns are ok for our hand.

Problem in flop raise is that there are quite few good turns to barrel again. Q, 5 or non-spade 6. Therefore I would just call flop.

1: Hand is not strong enough for 3bet but definitely defendable. From Qxds hands we would need all cards decently connected to start 3betting, e.g. QT97ds type imo.

2: Well there is decent value also in protection but yeah it's not fist bumb hand necessarily. I would just call without bdfd.

3: I don't personally lead this kind of flop as default. But perhaps there is some argument as 53 does connect better for BB range. Though it's so low cards that it's rarely hitting BB either. Also villain has more nut FD combos.

We do have bdfd so I would account most clubs being good for us. Without bdfd I would have just called for sure.

I think the check-raise is good. The overall play is pretty much covered by a GTO gameplay which always rockets variance but might be marginal against common reg-tendency, this start with the lack of nuttiness when defending our BB. So despite GTO-ranges folding pre to avoid troubles post was a commonly heard advise in times before solvers. Since our applicable knowledge about GTO is still limited I think that argument still holds validity.

Otf we might argue that our flushdraw is a little weak to bloat the pot early (also higher flushes have a better blocker effect against those who value-barrel aggressively ie with less than the nutflush), whereas our range does okayish in terms of hitting the lower textures (not as big of an advantage against a capped rfi range as one might think) which lefts it to be tricky when comparing the flush-draws since early position ranges are more likely to have higher suits, so we are likely to run into domination issues against the average TAG. Another thing in this gray area is, there are 2 low stakes tendencies going on here at that are arguing against each other:

First, People usually do not bluff enough like this after already having faced a check-raise otf, they often sustain from bringing the second allin-bullet repping the premium flush without having it due to the widespread allin inhibition threshold. Our combo-draw also kinda blocks the straight-draw and 2pair components of villains flop calling range. With the reverse blockers the turn is incredibly tricky imo so I think check-raise to check-fold the turn despite having a flush is a solid play.

Second, People c-bet too much, too merged and for this tend to call too much facing the check-raise continiung too many weak hands in general. Those without much SDV are often subjectively perceived to be in favour of bluffin one street or another, which vice versa makes hero check-calling in general a good idea on turns and rivers, for this an eye on villains agg-fq is critical obv.

I personally prefer to have some reads before rumbling with stacks and increased value with my bluff-catcher because the average player is way more merged than solver so you do not want to unnecessarily pay off medium-strong value-hands with mediocre hands yourself that are supposed to bluff-catch, but if your ranges are balanced (check-raise check nutflush too) I think once you called the turn without reads you gotta call the river usually too so in terms of GTO your play is fine I´d say.

Edit: Just checked Solver and it would just play it the same way you did.
