Time to start a new blog.
As a background I have been playing poker for over 10 years on and off.
Right now I play in 1/2 or 1/3 deep private home games that play bigger, and those 200bb deep ante tables on gg poker up to NL25 but mainly NL10 for now. Also some random shot taking at times
I'll update here with interesting hands and progress. Also my goals is just to make more money 🤑

Cheers yeah live BR is good. My last session I was down like 400-500 and ended up fighting back to win 660.
Live poker is not that regular, maybe once or twice a month, so goto make the most of it.
It's also bit gambly with frequent double PLO bomb pots.... it's all fun and games till you torch a 1k stack or something playing that.
Just lost 3.5 BIs online 6 tabling as well. Had to stop cause tilted ♦
Ran AKs into KK for 420bb pot all in pre.
Called bit to light on some rivers and some lucky stuff for villains as well

I am not ashamed to admit I likely can't beat NL200 or so online and don't want to try at the moment.
Had a chance to play a deep 5/5 live game this weekend but could not make the timing work or I'd have a pretty angry GF.
Still next time I'll take a shot at that game when it runs again and I can make it.

This a home game? I've played live poker twice and both sng home games, so don't have much experience on how soft they are, the 2 I played were pretty soft. Not sure how cash would be.
Yeah they are all private games.
They are soft to some extend, there are some good players as well though.
1/2 and 1/3 are good to play in.
2/5 or 5/5 I don't know yet. I also don't know how I feel like playing with like 1.5k - 2k stacks etc. so I might get bullied. First buy-in is usually 100bb, but then it's match the stacks and people add on etc. so it can run larger.
In order to progress I goto try though atleast once. If I can't take it I'll just not play it again for some time.
I don't rely on poker as income or for money so it's all just recreational anyway.

I see we are on a similar trajectory/challenge on GGpoker. My bankroll reached 621$ yesterday.
What do you think of the gameplay of the players on 25NL fast tables? And more in particular about the 3betting?
Something I noticed is that when you open UTG/MP there is a 40-50% chance that you get 3betted/squeezed. I have a feeling that I'm overfolding the better hand in this OOP spots. But when I do decide to play back they always has it. So it feels more safe to just fold and look for a better spot in position.
One of my goals for June is reviewing 3 betting, how I can do it more IP, and blind defense etc. actually.
NL25 3 betting is higher. I did not adjust to it yet well as OOP play is a bit more difficult, and I do think I am losing some money by flatting AQ then check folding some flops etc.
I think you should rather 4-bet than flat the 3-bet , but this is still opponent dependent and I am looking how to do it better.
Likely easiest adjustment is to tighten early positions a bit more, and harder adjustments is to use 4-bets or call down postflop more.
When you go up limit, the players may often look much more aggressive, but it isn't. I think, the difference between nl10 and nl25 is small.
I advise you to play 10K hands without changing your strategy and see the results.
And only then, if necessary, you should make adjustments.
Of course, if you found the mistake, you should correct it immediately. But you mustn't call down postflop more, because you have a feeling...

Todays session leaves much to be desired. I am to much passively calling down TP from blinds and getting value owned (posted some hands on the forum), I think I should c/r flops or raise blinds so to avoid just check calling... because c/c, c/c, c/f is also a bad line.
Also had a few people hit set on me on the turn and river.
Overall only lost 6$ after rake but I got tilted given I was up 30-40$ and lost that very quickly. Left the session before I do more damage.
Only positive was I 3-bet more from the blinds as well and IP getting some good hands with that. Worst hands were all flatting from the blinds.... so this is likely bad and I should do more fold or 3-bet.
