This hand made me laugh. Nice call OTR. This is how you induce :f_biggrin: . The reasoning for check the flop? The A♠:? I think you have bet OTT 2nd flushdraw appear, you are OOP. You want value

This is a -EV hand example in my opinion as it looses us money in the long run, just this one time it didn't

You are playing to tricky with AA in a way that would usually get you stacked.

Don't mess around with wet boards.
Just bet the flop.
That river as played is a check/call line I think and not a bet line. What are you thinking of when betting here?

I'm repping hands like TT or AKo? Like, I'm capped. Either bluffing or value betting but I can't call a raise.

In this hand, I figured he is a pro for a reason.

I've played against this pro often and he is a very aggressive player. Sometimes, he will bluff me and he shows me his cards.

So this is a very villain dependent line, I'm checking so that he fires, again and again until he goes broke.

I think I could shove KhQs or AsJh on turn also. So, yeah, the opponent is likely drawing dead on turn but I still think I should shove there. It fits the narrative of the action on flop and turn. I'll be interested to hear opinions though.

First hand I don't know why you are checking the flop, but the 2nd hand seems pretty standard.

Cheers,

You two are old school, that is, from the super system era. But this is how solver would play this hand, only time I strayed from solver was when I donked on river.

I donked because I realized the pro wasn't going for it on flop and turn, and so the river is a straight value bet. Yes, I did say that this is a villain dependent line but I knew from doing sims that this is also what solver would do. Just remember solver wants you to check a lot. Solver wants you to check this river also.

If you are talking about the book dont underestamate it. It's probably one of the greatest books if not the greatest. First book to ever talk about GTO. You are listening way too much to what solver says. There is a psychology in poker. Actually poker is about 99% of psychology.

It's still remains a software programme blind for so many things impossible to replace the human brain. So i suggest to use it as a supportive rather than main tool in making descions!

Solver says you butchered the hand because of your river action.
Solver also says to bet the flop more than to check it.
No clue what you are on about calling us old school, I never read that book.

Your tendency on all hands you post is just to call down anyway

If you can't have the self discipline to see errors why post the hands here?
You won't get the validation you seek when it's clear you misplayed it.

But sure nice hand.

What? Highest EV % on flop is a check. Look again. It's at 43.2% over bets of 34.1% and 21.5%. Same thing on turn except it's more prominent a check of 60.8%.

Yes, I butchered the river for a reason though. Like I said, my plan wasn't working and the pro wasn't showing the desired aggression.

I didn't realize that the big bet on river would triggered the pro though. It's actually a funny hand, imo.

Edit: added info

So yeah check is 43.2% Vs bets of 56.8%.
You are betting more than checking in the long run.

In real terms betting or checking the flop is not much difference.

You can't combine the two like that, each option is separate, checking is superior to betting 11.5BB at 34.1% and betting 17.25BB at 21.5% respectively.
