Hi all,

This might be banal and basic, but according to my app QxQyTz4z is a top 14% hand and therefore an EP open in a 6max cash game.

Although it makes sense to me that it's a top14% hand, I think I would never open it from EP (unless the blinds overfolded) because I feel it has bad playability (especially OOP).

What do you guys think?

QQT4ss with low suit is pretty crappy QQ overall and from EP it's definitely too weak to open. It gets bit better if table is on tight/passive side so we rarely face 3bets and get blinds down bit more often. But even in such table it would be most likely too wide.

We can start opening this from CO at earliest position really. From EP we should focus on hands with nuttiness especially in lower Stakes where multiway pots are very likely.

I have moved you're question to our normal Omaha board, because this isn't a hand.

Cheers,

Showing a specific hand history would be better...

Those are exactly kind of hands in early position gto rfi range I dont like to play. Some tightish tournament dynamic might be the right spot for this open.

I heavily doubt it's open in gto. It can be in top 15% in ppt etc. ranking as it does ok in preflop equity. Issue is postflop playability and thus equity realization.

Maybe a double suited version is good from early position to open. ( QQT4ds )

Even with low rake, QQT4ss is not an open from UTG. QQT4ds is.

In PPT rankings it's in top 10% if suited to Q. If T4 is suited, it's top 13%. PPT overvalues high pocket pairs a little, this is a good example of that.

In solver, QQT4ss (suited to Q) is an open from MP, so it's quite close to being in UTG range anyway. If table is more call-happy than solver players, and more passive than solver players, I am quite sure that QQT4ss is marginally +EV open from UTG. If there are aggros, or players in position are really good regs, easy fold.

Maybe pocket kings+ combination openraise from early position... _confused:
