No Limit Holdem Tournament
$6.00+$0.50
5 players
Converted at weaktight.com

Stacks:
UTG (2080)
CO (2625)
BTN (700)
SB (7085)
Hero (BB) (1010)

Blinds: 100/200

Pre-flop: (300, 5 players) Hero is BB 3♦ 8♥
3 folds, SB calls 100, Hero checks

Flop: 2♦ 6♦ 3♠ (400, 2 players)
SB checks, Hero ???

This guy had been open limping from the sb all the time. Should I push any two vs him preflop due to my short stack? As played, since he most frequently will miss the flop can I just push it with 2nd pair?

ye tricky spot
i like your line - check preflop - he is chipleader and if he play loose - he can call us loose here - imo
and shove on flop

I have changed my mind about this hand: i'm not going broke with the pair of 3's here.

Call me result-oriented, but I ALWAYS lose when I shove in those spots. Villain has some kind of pocket pair or decides to call anyway with 2 overcards.

but he complete from SB very often - and he checks on flop - i shove here

I do not push preflop against his stack. If he had about 2k I shove but with his stack he will just call hands like J9.
As played I wouldn't push. A pocket or overcards can still call you. I'd probably check behind and hope to see a cheap showdown. Depending on turn and river I'd call at least on bet by him.

is it wrong when he call us with 2 overcards? - we already have second very low pair but when he call us with 2 overcards its still 80/20.-i dont like to give him free card if he has overcards.

If he had less chips ~ 1500 max clear ATC shove preflop, with that stack, I'm pushing any flop.

It is just harder for him to call and our stack really sucks, becouse both players behind you have about 3 times our stack if we fold - meaning almost no FE, big stack will most likely get busy since the bubble is approaching...
