If you want to fight laggy with fire, this is fine. But quite often those laggy players are not happy to fold. Any reads about how much he likes to fold would be good here. At least you get the info on the river.

Yeah he did call with A♠:A♦:8♠:6♣: but I dont know if that is necessarily bad to be honest. Thing I noticed solver wise was that hands that blocked front door fd were fairly often actually calling more. I think logic being that busted fd are less likely to triple barrel bluff so blocking those can be sort of good at least in some spots. Now of course that depends heavily on how player actually bluffs. Like if our betting range is heavily centered on trips+ and nut fd with straight draw its obviously very bad to have busted nfd.

Other components of his hand being 6 which is not that important but does block boats little bit. Now I would triple all trips I decided to start betting so blocker value is limited. But third big factor for villain is unblocking all QJ9 type cards. So I think his call is probably fine. At least versus someone like me

With the check-call, check-call line it's often a hand that has showdown value. You block the straight draws, and with draw the laggy probably bets himself.

Often with a bit more aggressive players they take passive lines mostly with made hands and get more aggro with air/draws. If he is laggy too at postflop, I would be a bit alarmed when he checks after 3betting.

Yeah this was most likely too aggro line overall. That said I wont find enough bluffs most likely anyway to have balanced approach in this spot as I would tend to give up high equity draws anyway on the river at least. But theoretically AQJ combo is pretty bad to bluff river. Also there was argument on discord of using like half pot turn barrel to make it tougher to play. Some of hands like 7755 would make better bluffs in general for unblocking most draws.

Its not necessary to be balanced 100% of the time when we play for stack I think. I thought he had TT. I would have folded AAxx on turn or call one street only to balance my River check call or fold range against better players like you.
