After taking a major hiatus from playing poker, I am beginning the grind again. My most recent foray into playing poker regularly was a bit bittersweet. I was able to stay on the road for almost an entire year and a half before giving up due to the cost of travel burning into my bankroll. It might not be hard for some to be a +EV poker player, but when it comes to travel that will never happen unless you are lucky enough to have some sort of sponsorship. That being said, it was a wonderful experience, and it showed me that I am capable of making money at a game that I love to play. I also had loads of fun, met tons of new people and found many new places to play poker.

My current grind is going to start online. I will be playing initially on Global Poker, since I already have a pretty good bankroll there, and they have one of the softest player populations online. I will also be jumping onto Ignition and Bovada as soon as possible. Other sites I plan to play on are America's Cardroom and BetOnline. This is all because I am a US player and am limited to these sites where I live. As my bankroll increases, and given my financial situation, I hope to also travel from time to time to some places that I can play other sites, like WSOP or WPT. But for the time being, I will focus on those I can play. On the plus side of things, I'm not starting at micro stakes. I am very comfortable playing 10nl - 50nl regularly on Global Poker, and have the bankroll to support.

I am focusing on several aspects of my game at the moment. Mainly building a confidence and ability to regularly beat at least the 50nl 6max population on most US online sites. I also need to play more tournaments, so I will be grinding as many micro stakes buy in tournaments as I can. Hopefully several per day. This is another reason playing on Global Poker is a benefit. They have several very high ROI micro stake buy in events. As well as other low buy in events where the field is small and the ROI up to 100x or more at the top. And again, the player population is very soft in most of these events.

I'll probably spin up some streams on either twitch or YouTube, or highlight some hands played that I hope will be of interest. But that will likely be a few months off. I do however plan to begin creating YouTube Content featuring some of the poker here in Oklahoma where I live. We have a fairly healthy live poker culture here. And I'm also close enough to Texas to hopefully add some of those rooms as well.

I hope everyone has a fun and productive New Year. Best of luck at the tables y'all. And if you ever plan to come to Oklahoma, look me up, I can definitely provide some good advice on where and when to play here.

Hello okiepokerplayer

If you want to make pictures in you're blog you need to be a bronze+ member.

The easiest way to get a bronze status you can use 1 or more of our free money offers on poker rooms you don’t have an account yet. If it you already have signed in for a room you need to read the instructions well and it can take up to 2 business days before you get the free money. If that's not a option you can buy a status-upgrade.

Maybe the https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?threadid=523971 is interesting as well.

Good luck with you're poker adventure :gl:

Cheers,
