TL;DR you need to sign up at an affiliated room using the Bonus Offers or Free Money links. Make sure you are using the links found there and that you are following the instructions exactly, or else it won't work.
It must be a new room where you haven't played before, so it counts as a new sign-up through Pokerstrategy. Collecting Strategy Points for your play on any existing accounts that you have already created is unfortunately not possible.

Because it needs to be considered a referral from Pokerstrategy.com, which means that you need to use the exact links from the Bonus Offers or Free Money sections or it won't count. And if you already have an existing untracked account, then by definition, it was not created through one of those links.
