I know, OESD on flop 3-handed makes - 0,07SB EV so my bet was a bit out of line. What about the rest?

hi berkstajger
the flop bet is definately ok. two overcards + oesd is definately enough to bet against any number of opponents when you are the pfa...
turn is an easy bet and on the river i think i like bet/fold against two pairs etc... if you check worse hands will check behind and only better hands will bet. so check/call sucks and check/call is too weak. as long as he isn´t a crazy bluffer or something like that i like bet/fold

Those diamonds scared me. _frown:

My line of thinking was - if I bet I would find it veeeery hard to fold straight on quite big pot and just with checking I could induce bluff... With betting I think it goes the other way too - only worse hands will fold and I think only better/same ones would call me with that flush/straight draw heavy board.

Just bumping to see what others think of this action.

I simply can't make piece with a thought of folding straight on pot of that size to one big bet on the river... :/

Equilator says this:

Equity Win Tie Loss Hand
Player 1: 77,647% 71,962% 11,370% 16,668% KcQh
Player 2: 22,353% 16,668% 11,370% 71,962% 77-44, A6s-A2s, K9s-K2s, Q9s-Q2s, J9s-J2s, T2s+, A9o, QJo

I've given villain a 2-limper call from bronze section sh chart since he should fold or raise to my raise but he limped and I think this then a pretty good estimation.

I've got 1:10 pot odds and 77% equity. So just by using the statistics I should probably bet, but I would get in a pretty delicate situation if he would raise (and would have to fold, as you pointed out), so basically I'm using WA/WB approach on the river, because only flush beats and I'm ahead of every other possible hand.

Hello!

I agree with frzl, bet/fold is the best here as it's a thin value bet and only better hands will raise you. Although I do not agree with him that if we c/c only better hands will bet, I believe that there is a possibillity of inducing a bluff but we don't want to lose value since there is also a possibility that worse hands will just check behind.

About your ranges... I keep looking at them and they make no sense at all however I look at them. You raised preflop and villain coldcalled you. He didn't limp, he coldcalled and there's no 2-limpers, I really don't understand what you mean. Anyhow, the range you have given is pretty much completely wrong IMO. Possible range preflop is kind of hard to define since cold calling a raise against 1 oponnent is wrong but I think it's suited connectors, suited 1 gappers and pocket pairs mostly, so something like T9s-QJs, QTs, KJs, KTs, and 55, maybe a few more pocket pairs, it really depends on oponnent's stats and reads on him. That's his PREFLOP range. Then we have to adjust this range to his postflop play and then we get the river range. From the preflop range we can see that two pairs and straights are the most of his range and the flush is actually not very likely, that's why we have to value bet that river. Of course it's possible for him to ave a wider range of more pocket pairs and lower suited connectors, but I think that with a made flush he'd raise you on turn so the only hands that you're in danger against are hands like 55-99 (one diamond in a hand)assuming the villain is pretty passive preflop. However no worse hand will raise you on river so you have to fold your hand unless you're facing some crazy bluffer. Offsuited hands are unlikely to be coldcalled preflop. So in conclusion easy value bet/fold on the river, by checking we will often miss value there.

Primzi

Hey, thank you for the answer.

Well, I don't know exactly what kind of cards would call open raise, so I tried to find the most similar situation in chart.

The other day I was playing with a guy with 85 VPIP, so I guess a lot is possible... :f_confused: (yup, he donated quite a few bucks :P )

Anyway - I know I shouldn't post results, but I'd just like to share with you that I was apparently facing a crazy bluffer or someone holding 89 who caught his low straight on river. Unfortunately he mucked hand and I didn't get to see them, just got to collect a nice pot. :)
