PLO25 KKT4ss 4bet pre?

Pre I think this is a good hand to take a stand with vs an excessive three bettor. A lot of the value in this hand comes from 'raw equity' so we like getting more money in pre and playing at a lower spr post. It would be nicer to have an ace of course.

Flop seems like a stretch that anyone would put it in with air here.

With 4bet you can get SPR 2, which is pretty nice. Can pot a lot of flops and opponent can't really do much. On this flop though I am not sure if we want to get it in, as there are no draws (except 876x). I know bet small-fold seems weak, but I don't expect him to raise with air as you range is so heavy on overpairs that normally stack off here.

If there were just a bit more draws available stack off would be std.

Yeah it was probably bit optimistic even for this SPR. I were thinking that we do still unblock possible straight draws. But will opponent get aggro with some 5667 etc. is questionable.

Dont usually post more hands on same topic but kinda similar spot today. SPR here again 2. This time opponent seemed bit more taggy type and more solid. I thought in game my 6 is probably overall good blocker to have and I do unblock 975. T is blocking bit of draws but also draw outs. I think this is bit better spot to stack off than that previous hand. Its kinda tough to evaluate these as on relatively anonymous site you dont usually have any reads on such specific situation. But obviously we cannot just keep folding everything... I think my hand does want to cbet blocking flop somewhat and unblocking KK, QQ, JJ. Plus usually cbet frequency in trainer is like 70%+ unless its very wet board like 776ss.

Blockers have no relevance here. Against trips, as you know, we are in pretty bad shape: With 20% equity on avg. If he's capable of semi-bluff shoving an OESD we're still not getting odds to call. It's a frequency driven spot and the question if calling is good depends on villains bluff portion, we'd need him to shove most of his gutshots aswell (or a similar high amount of pure bluffs which is very unlikely when he's reggish). His calling range also plays a role, if he's calling more trips, we can have him bluff less to stack-off. On PLO20 I had regulars loose enough to also stack off with and occasionally :Qx:. Make sure he's not one of those.
