1) Should I call down MP2 bets?

PartyPoker 0.05/0.10 Limit Hold'em (8 handed)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A :club:, J :spade:
2 folds, MP2 raises, 4 folds, Hero calls.

Flop: (4.40 SB) K :club: , 4 :club:, 5 :spade: (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (3.20 BB) 2  (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets, Hero calls.

River: (5.20 BB) K  (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 7.20 BB.

How often should I call down this situation. Sometimes the villain has pair, sometimes A high

2) Folding AA with turn?

Preflop: Hero is CO with A  , A :diamond:
2 folds, UTG+2 calls, 2 folds, MP3 raises, Hero 3-bets, 2 folds, BB calls, UTG+2 calls, MP3 calls.

Flop: (12.40 SB) 6 , T :diamond: , Q :diamond: (4 players)
BB checks, UTG+2 bets, MP3 raises, Hero 3-bets, BB folds, UTG+2 calls, MP3 calls.

Turn: (10.70 BB) Q :spade: (3 players)
UTG+2 checks, MP3 bets, Hero calls, UTG+2 calls.

River: (13.70 BB) Q  (3 players)
UTG+2 checks, MP3 bets, Hero calls, UTG+2 calls.

Final Pot: 16.70 BB.

MP3 raised flop, so the villain could have Qx. I only have 2 outs to improve my hand. Do I get enough outs to call the turn? Also do not know, if I should call down the river.

3) Playing with 4 Queens

PartyPoker 0.05/0.10 Limit Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with Q :diamond: , A :club:
UTG calls, 1 folds, Hero raises, 3 folds, CO calls, 3 folds, UTG calls.

Flop: (7.40 SB) Q :spade: , Q  , 3 :spade: (3 players)
UTG bets, Hero raises, CO calls, UTG calls.

Turn: (6.70 BB) Q :club: (3 players)
UTG bets, Hero calls, CO calls.

River: (9.70 BB) 5 :spade: (3 players)
UTG bets, Hero raises, CO folds, UTG folds.

Final Pot: 12.70 BB.

In my opinion I did OK. I called turn to get more money into pot and raised river to see if UTG calls my raise.

4) Playing against maniac.

PartyPoker 0.05/0.10 Limit Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with 9 , 9 :spade:
1 folds, Hero calls, UTG+2 calls, 1 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 raises, 4 folds, Hero calls, UTG+2 calls, MP2 calls.

Flop: (9.40 SB) 6 , 7 :club: , 3 (4 players)
Hero bets, UTG+2 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 raises, Hero 3-bets, MP2 folds, MP3 caps, Hero calls.

Turn: (9.20 BB) K :club:(2 players)
Hero checks, MP3 bets, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 10.20 BB.

MP3 was complete maniac. The villain raised pre-flop, capped flop, turn, river. I should call down this hand- first I thought that the villain might have AK, but later I saw that he raised A2, 79 and so on.

How should play against maniac- can I call raise with KQ or KJ? Must always cap the flop, if you have top pair or over pair and when to fold?

1) I would have folded on the turn. You only have one overcard and a gutshot, and the pot is small.

2) Villain might only have a flushdraw or the T and try kicking everybody out on the turn when the board pairs, you cant fold here. On the river you have the second nuts, only the 4th Q beats you, so no folding here either. You played it well.

3)I like your play here. If the board was more drawheavy you should raise the turn to make opponents pay for their draws, but it isnt here, so this is one of the very few spots where slowplaying is the right thing to do.

4)If he is a maniac you definetily have to call him down here. Think of all the hands he would play that way, and think about how often you are ahead against them.

Playing against maniacs isnt easy, but it can be very profitable. Preflop you should try to get headsup with him, so try to isolate him by 3betting his raises with good hands. (3bet hands that you would have raised in your position if noone had raised before you). If you have marginal made hand, like middle pair, just call him down. With strong made hands you can cap the flop, but be careful if the board is suited or connected or else dangerous. With draws, play according to odds and outs. Bluffs and semibluffs generally do not work against maniacs.
